Bioinorganic chemistry, nucleic acids & molecular modeling
Our Research Interests
The research of our team (founded in 2000) is centered at biologically relevant inorganic chemistry. We are particularly interested in transition metal complexes that exert antitumor effects via interactions with nucleic acids. These complexes can form covalent crosslinks with DNA bases (PtII), or can interact non-covalently prior photoactivation (RuII, & OsII polypyridyl complexes).
