The Laboratory of Applied Anthropology has been developing, since its creation in 1962, three complementary activity
domains :
Research relevant to Physiological
Ergonomics with two main themes :
=> Biomechanics applied to Ergonomics and sport,
=> Psychophysiology and Chronobiology applied to monotonous situations in transports
and risky situations.
An information system dedicated to the Diffusion
of Scientific and Technical Information on Ergonomics :
=> ERGODATA, which include databases about
anthropometry, biostereometry, biomechanics and ergonomics and the tool for human body
modelling : ERGOMAN.
University teachings for the second and third
cycle, and continuing education about :
=> Ergonomics and human factors,
=> Biomechanics,
=> Stress,
=> Land Transport Medicine.
Composed of a pluridisciplinary team,
the L.A.A. is involved in national and international research programs, with strong and
active scientific cooperation with foreign university
(North America, South East Asia) and permanent collaborations with industrial
companies, mainly in transport.
